Marketing Optimist Interview

I was invited to talk to the guys at The Marketing Optimist as part of their Marketing Sandwich Course.

Whilst the initial area of discussion was my ‘FFS’ (Fraser Five Step) Business Strategy planning tool, we covered loads of other topics too. In summary we discussed the following, but I may have missed a couple of bits out too !

  • FFS – What does it stand for?
  • FFS – Where did it come from?
  • How can a Business Sounding Board help you?
  • Validation; Accountability; Bouncing ideas around
  • Hear about the businesses that I couldn’t help
  • What did my team tell me to do after an internal company review?
  • The most important question in your business planning
  • What does The Cheshire Cat know about business strategy?
  • What a BHAG is and why you need one
  • It’s easy to do things badly. It’s not easy to do it well
  • Personal Brand building (in 30 months)

Watch the video interview below.

The three books that I mentioned were ‘7 Habits of Highly Successful People’ by Stephen Covey, ‘Good to Great’ by Jim Collins and ‘Content DNA’ by John Espirian. I also referenced the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland!

If you want to speak to the guys at the Marketing Optimist, it’s Richard Michie, and I was interviewed by Lucy Pimblott.

WHAT NEXT?

If you’d like to discuss how I could help with your business strategy, or you need a Business Sounding Board, then please give me a call or WhatsApp me, drop me an email or connect with me on LinkedIn. Details below.

I’ll be happy to have chat with you to explore how I may be able to help you. I’ll be honest and I may not be able to help you myself and in that scenario I’ll try and point you in the right direction.
